We had a message from our sponsee, Daniel Hughes, who is climbing Everest to place a red nose at the summit in aid of Comic Relief. Daniel has trained extremely hard for this expedition and sent us this update. So, please please text Nose70 £1 to 70070 to donate £1 toward his target of £1 Million! Thank you.

Daniel says:

So after 2.5 years of preparation, and all your help, the summit bid is on.

From tomorrow AM everestmillion.com will go into "summit" mode and all content will be broadcast directly into a livestream. On there, live tracking will exist too. No content will go into youtube.

Schedule:

11th May - 1220pm UK  - First live piece introducing the summit bid.

11th May - 8pm UK depart for Camp 2.

12th May - 1220pm UK - Live video piece from Camp 2

13th May - 1220pm UK - Live video piece from Camp 3 to the BBC

14th May - Live video piece from the South Col, my final live piece before the summit. I'll be in my tent, oxygen mask on, nervous as hell. It will be an emotional piece. (timing to be confirmed)

15th May - Anticipating summit between 1am - 3am UK. Live video piece directly to the BBC Newschannel with my Red Nose on. This will be a world first and will be re-broadcasted directly into www.everestmillion.com

Post climb the idea is to continue the live feeds on the way down, in particular back at the South Col.

Along the way:

Recorded Video and picture content will be dropped into the livestream feed to share my journey to the top of the world.
